Soft Green Crystalline
As with Water & Ice, Alexis Templeton uses a crystalline glazing technique to create striking yet soothing soft green glazed surfaces for these functional pieces.
The resulting surface patterns are distinctive: an iridescent finish on vertical areas – where the melting glaze runs thin — and a glassy emerald or forest green “pool” where the glaze collects in flat areas.

The tiny green bowl pictured here was made by wrapping clay around a sea urchin.
Sea urchins are a running theme in Alexis’ green crystalline glaze designs. They are often used to impress texture in clay pieces which will wear the green crystalline glaze.
